This bathroom summed up the whole house.

Bathrooms and kitchens carry so much emotional weight in a home. Getting them right isn’t about overcapitalising. It’s about understanding your market and designing for real life.

This wasn’t a dramatic structural change. It was a considered refresh.

Now, it feels fresh, functional and ready for its next owners to move straight in.

This section needed some serious love: tree removal, levelling, fencing, new grass- and yes, it all added up quickly. But removing those huge trees completely changed the home. More light, more warmth, and outdoor spaces that actually get used. Once the new grass settles in it’s going to be beautiful. 🌱

Yesterday I asked what you would change about the original layout and today, here’s what we did.

The kitchen, once tucked away and cut off from the living area, was opened up to create a true central hub. By removing walls and reworking the flow, the heart of the home now connects seamlessly to the sunny deck, making everyday living and entertaining feel effortless.

The oversized laundry was another opportunity. By reconfiguring the space, we were able to introduce a third bedroom- a change that not only balanced the layout but also added significant value and broadened the home’s appeal to families.

What was once a collection of disconnected rooms is now a cohesive, modern layout that simply works.

It might look funny now, but this step makes sure every cupboard, corner and appliance actually works.

Cracks above your windows or doors? 👀
When the steel or concrete lintel expands with temperature changes, it can push the bricks above it and cause horizontal or stair-step fractures.

Here’s what to do:

Get a professional opinion - a structural engineer or builder can tell you if it’s cosmetic or a structural concern.

Repair or reinforce - that might mean removing/replacing cracked bricks, protecting or replacing the lintel if it’s corroding.

Introduce expansion joints (if they’re missing) to let the building move without cracking the bricks.

Don’t ignore those cracks, a little fix now = peace of mind later. 🛠️💪

A trip to the plant centre, a car full of greenery, and a few hours later, the garden is starting to take shape. It’s amazing how fresh planting can instantly lift a property’s look and feel.

The grounds were one of the biggest costs in this property transformatin: tree removal, levelling, fencing, new grass- it all added up fast. I almost turned down a trip to New York.
Why? Because I thought I had to be on site for my renovation, that if I wasn’t there, things would fall apart.

But then I realised… this is exactly what Life Reimagined is about.
Learning to trust, to delegate, and to build a life that allows for both work and freedom.

So I went. I hired my JV partner to oversee the project for a week, and guess what?
The world didn’t end. The project kept moving. I wasn’t missed.

That week away reminded me that success isn’t about doing everything yourself, it’s about creating systems, trusting your team, and giving yourself permission to live fully.

You can do both.
You can build, grow, and still live the life you’re working so hard for. 💫

We opened up the kitchen and living area into one bright, open-plan hub that flows straight out to the sunny deck, perfect for easy living and entertaining. The oversized laundry became a third bedroom (hello, added value 🙌).

One of my favorite things about this renovation was how the laundry fit neatly into a cupboard, and how the wide hallway made this small house feel so spacious.
